AI is a divisive topic, and no more so than in the author and book communities.
Some love and embrace it for the purpose of graphics and design, others refuse to have anything to do with it. I am a firm believer that each author (and reader) will have their own view and reasons for using or not. (There is no excuse for using AI to write your book!)
I do not knowingly use any AI in my work. I will not knowingly use it either. My books were written and researched by me. Each one took between 3-5 years to produce.
Similarly with cover designs and character art, these are all made by artists who do not use AI.
I have no plans for (or agreed to) any AI audiobooks - if we get an audio, it will be with human voices.
It is, however, getting harder to detect AI, and sometimes things slip through, especially with marketing. If they do, I apologise and will do what I can to not use that particular item again.
It is HARD. Often these items are not flagged - or the flag is so deeply hidden, it is almost impossible to find. I do use Canva and filter out AI, but sometimes it is so good, you struggle to tell.
I am an author and artist that wants to support human made and will never knowingly use AI.
My cover artist is Asterielly Designs and you can view her website here
My character artist is Aivelin, you view this in the Book Overview or
I am also a member of the Indie Book Directory and they are 100% anti AI. I have to confirm I am not knowingly using AI in my work.
